The Chung Wah Society of the NT (CWS) is proud to present the inaugural community Festival celebrating Chinese New Year in Darwin.

What: Family friendly festival
When: Saturday 23rd February, and Sunday 24th February 2019
Time: 10am gates open, 4pm festival closes

Where: Darwin Turf Club, Dick Ward Drive, Darwin, free car parking
Cost: FREE entry. Food and drinks will be available for sale.

Registration preferred as this event will be limited on the number of people in the space at a time. Registering will guarantee access and also entries to win lucky door prizes.

This family friendly event will feature :

Location: Air-conditioned marquee at the Darwin Turf Club, with FREE parking, and FREE access to the event, plus FREE access on Saturday 23rd February to the featured Turf Club races of the day

Food and drinks: Asian food stalls will feature special dishes available for purchase. A licenced bar will be available for your drink purchases, so please no BYO.

Activities: Displays and interactive activities showcasing Chinese activities, traditions and culture as well as looking back on local Chinese history

Roving entertainment: Ad-hoc roving entertainment will surprise and delight you

Entertainment: On centre stage there will be featured presentations and performances throughout the two days of the Festival. These will include:

· Celebrity Chef
· Local chefs demonstrating their specialities
· Performances by the Chinese lions
· Chinese dancing
· Musical performances

Come along for an hour or all day
Bring the family and neighbours for lunch or graze all day
